BSU administration had been guest of St Cyril and St Methodius University of Veliko Turnovo

     Under the leadership of the rector of Baku Slavic University (BSU), professor Nurlana Aliyeva, the delegation consisting of vice-rectors had been guests of St Cyril and St Methodius University of Veliko Turnovo during visit to the Republic of Bulgaria. BSU representatives met with the rector of University, professor Hristo Bondzolov and vice-rectors of that University. Receiving the Azerbaijani guests H.Bondzolov gave information about the activity of St Cyril and St Methodius University of Veliko Turnovo. He spoke about the Bulgarian students’ interest in the Azerbaijani language and culture, history of this country.

     Rector of BSU gave information about the meant events during the three day visit to Bulgaria to the participants of the meeting in her speech. Rector talked about history, activity of Baku Slavic University, educational and cultural centers, also international relations of BSU. Speaking about staff training on the Bulgarian language, N.Aliyeva noted that the Bulgarian language and culture are taught at a high level at Baku Slavic University.

     At the end of the meeting gifts as a souvenir were presented on behalf of BSU to St Cyril and St Methodius University of Veliko Turnovo.

     Then Rector Nurlana Aliyeva delivered a lecture on “The 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria”to the students of St Cyril and St Methodius University of Veliko Turnovo.  Rector’s high level speech in Bulgarian was met with great sympathy by teachers and students.

     It should be noted that Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Bulgaria Nargiz Gurbanova accompanied BSU administration in all the meetings that took place in Bulgaria.
