Presentation of a new textbook entitled "History of International Relations (Ancient and Middle Ages)" was held at BSU

         

     The presentation of the International Relations History (Ancient and Middle Ages), prepared by the International Relations Department at Baku Slavic University (BSU) was held on May 22.

     At the beginning of the event, Professor Rafiq Novruzov ,Vice Rector for Science, noted the importance of the textbook for the students, including professors and teachers. R. Novruzov said that the textbook , that the  authors were the docents of the Department of International Relations Laman Garayeva, Shahla Nuruzadeh and Zumrud Malikova, was published on the basis of scientific sources and in accordance with the education policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He said that in the textbook the authors have tried to present the essence of international relations between states in ancient times and in the Middle Ages as a special reality, which is closely related to other aspects of social life, as well as by its own laws. , R. Novruzov noted that textbook of the International Relations History (Ancient and Medieval) is intended to be used  by all universities, and he congratulated the authors for their highly-qualified work.

     Docent Zumrud Malikova , one of the authors of the book, noted that "The History of International Relations (Ancient and Middle Ages)" is the first part of a four-volume book. She said  that the three volumes of this textbook will be published in the future.  Zumrud Malikova noted that the textbook consisting of twenty-three chapters contains seven themes of each author. Then Z. Melikova's report on the subjects that she wrote in the textbook was heard.

     Associate Professor Laman Garayeva, one of the co-authors, said that "History of International Relations (Ancient and Middle Ages)" contains important historical facts based on systematized software. L. Garayeva noted that the textbook also used political and comparative analysis, along with the historical approach when interpreting international relations and evolution. The author notes that the textbook is for bachelors and masters.

     Ramiz Sevdimaliev, a senior researcher at the Institute of Oriental Studies of ANAS, professor of the International Relations Department of the Baku State University, gave positive feedback on the new textbook. He noted that the new textbook, which has been developed by highly-qualified specialists, is a significant contribution to the development of political science.

     Head of the Department of Diplomacy and Foreign Policy, Associate Professor Asker Ahmed, Head of Azerbaijan Multiculturalism Department, Associate Professor Haji Rauf, Associate Professor of International Relations Alpay Ahmadov, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations and Regional Studies, Associate Professor Shirinbay Aliyev, Professor of the Department of International Relations Habil Mammadov shared their impressions of the textbooks.
