“Open Days” at Baku Slavic University

       

     On May 24, Baku Slavic University (BSU) organized “Open Days” within the framework of project “Specialty choice” by Ministry of Education (ME). Pupils studying at leading schools of Baku city which cooperate with BSU, as well as parents and teachers participated in the event.

     Within the framework of the event participants got closely acquainted with Heydar Aliyev Center, museum, educational and cultural centers, Assembly hall, departments functioning at Baku Slavic University.

     Seminars, demo lessons were organized for pupils, TV Commercial reflecting activity, student life of University was demonstrated in the framework of “Open Days”.

     Participants of “Open Days” met with met with rector of BSU, professor Nurlana Aliyeva in the Conference hall of University. During the meeting, rector gave detailed information about institution of higher education led by her, activity, study process here, international relations of University. N.Aliyeva spoke about honored guests of BSU, and leading foreign Universities that BSU cooperates, specially highlighted activity of Azerbaijani studies centers established by BSU at those Universities. Rector talked about good condition created for teacher-student contingent, reconstruction work here. N.Aliyeva highlighted that such events are meant for strengthening University relations with public, after this BSU doors will be open to every member of society. She brought attention to the condition created for participation of both young people and parents in the specialty choice.

     Within the framework of the meeting numbers of journal “The Russian language and Literature in Azerbaijan” published in different years , as well as booklets reflecting many-field activity of University were distributed to the directors of the secondary schools number 18, 44, 46, 83, 145, 164,189-190, Modern Educational Complex named after Heydar Aliyev, BSU School Lyceum Complex.

     Finally, exhibition entitled “Young talents” consisting of joint handicrafts of pupils and BSU students was watched in the lobby of University.
