Event on the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis has been held at BSU

       

     Today commemoration ceremony “Bloody memory” dedicated to the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis has been held at Baku Slavic University (BSU). First of all memory of the killed innocent people has been commemorated with a minute of silence.

     Making a speech rector of BSU, professor Nurlana Aliyeva has noted that bloody incident taking place on March 31, 1918, is a crime committed by Armenians against Azerbaijanis and we shall never forget this history. Speaking about Armenian atrocities against Azerbaijanis throughout the history, mass deportation of Azerbaijanis from their native lands, rector has stated that the genocide was given a political color as the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis with Nationwide Leader Heydar Aliyev’s Decree. Highlighting a special role of the young in the direction of promoting the truth about Azerbaijan at Baku Slavic University, Nurlana Aliyeva has said that more than 300 students of BSU will take part in the march dedicated to the memory of martyrs on April 5.

     During event the late film director, teacher of the faculty of Journalism and Azerbaijani philology Alakbar Muradov’s documentary film “The symbol of memory” has been shown.

     Then  associate professor of the chair of Diplomacy and Foreign policy Sabir Mammadov’s “March 31 – Genocide”, associate professor of the chair of International Relations and Country Study Shahla Nurizadeh’s “Historical researches of Guba Genocide Memorial Complex”, third year student Sahib Gulmammadov’s “ March 31- brutal crime against humanity” reports have been listened. Revealing important facts on genocide, reporters have called young generation not to forget their history.
