“Baku Marathon 2017” representatives at BSU
On March 2017, executors and partners of “Baku Marathon 2017” met with teaching and student staff of Baku Slavic University (BSU).
Vice rector for Educational Affairs of BSU Khanim Sultanova gave students information about “Baku Marathon 2017” to be held at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Fund on April 30 and called them to be active in this marathon.
One of the executors of “Baku Marathon 2017” Samir Jabbarov noted that the marathon taking place for the second time will be organized this year under the slogan “Win the wind”, the project will be implemented by Sport Marketing Group (SMG). According to him, “Baku Marathon 2017” will cover a distance of 21 kilometers, starting at the State Flag Square to the finish line in Baku Olympic Stadium as last year. S.Jabbarov noted that more than 7000 participants signed up in the first semi marathon organized on May 1, 2016. Along with Azerbaijani citizens, foreigners also joined semi marathon that attended by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Fund.
Representative of “Azer Turk Bank”, one of the sponsors of Marathon, Leyla Mammadova notified students about considered prizes for winners of marathon by giving information on the activity of the bank she represented.
Representative of “GoSport” sporting goods chains, one of the partners of “Baku Marathon 2017” Nikita Sokolov, in his speech, gave some advice to students about sport shoes and the rule of selecting clothes during running
Then information was given on preparation stage and trainings held on every Saturday-Sunday for marathon, the students' questions were answered fully.
