BSU representatives had been guests of Sophia University

     

     Rector of Baku Slavic University (BSU), professor Nurlana Aliyeva and the delegation consisting of vice rectors of University had been guests of Sophia University named after St. Kliment Ohrisdki. Vice rector of University Renata Bajankova expressed her pleasure to meet the guests representing BSU. Speaking about the activity of Azerbaijani language and Cultural Center founded by BSU at Sophia University, vice rector noted that the center plays an important role in strengthening both the cooperation between two Universities and friendship relations between nations. She highly appreciated the establishment of the center by BSU in a short period of time and beginning to function for Bulgarian students who show interest in Azerbaijan.

     Then round table on “ The Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Azerbaijan: a 25 year  friendship, partnership and cooperation” was held with the participation of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Bulgaria Nargiz Gurbanova, rector of BSU, professor Nurlana Aliyeva, vice rector for Scientific affairs, professor Rafig Novruzov and vice rector for Educational Affairs Khanim Sultanova. The speech of BSU representatives in Bulgarian in front of teaching-student staff of Sophia University was greeted with applause by everyone in the round table. It was spoken about the positive impact of a 25 year friendship relations between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan to economy, culture and development of both countries. Participants highly appreciated special attention to construction and repair work in Bulgaria with the support of Heydar Aliyev Fund. Professor Nurlana Aliyeva valued this as a bright model of appreciation multicultural values by our country, nation under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev and fully established tolerant attitudes in the community.

     Novruz khoncha presented by BSU representatives arouse interest in Bulgarian participants in the event.
