6 STEPS TO BECOME A BSU STUDENT
① Find more information on the web-site www.bsu-uni.edu.az and choose a specialization, program, a form of education and a language (Russian/Azerbaijani) in the " Programs and Fees " section
② Legalize or appostille your High School (College, University, Trade School, etc.) diploma in the country of issue
③ Get a student visa on the web-site www.evisa.gov.az. CIS citizens (besides Turkmenistan) do not need a visa
④Confirm the non-Azerbaijan citizenship at the State Migration Service of the Azerbaijan Republic
⑤File the paperwork at the BSU Dean's office for international students
⑥Pass the competitive examination (test/interviewing)
Enrollment and curricula of international students are implemented in accordance with Decision №125 of 15 May 2015 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic on the Education of Azerbaijani Citizens in the Foreign Countries and Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons at Educational Institutions in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Foreign citizens permanently residing in Azerbaijan are required to enter university as local citizens, i.e. to pass entrance exam of the State Examination Center.
Baku Slavic University has a long experience of enrollment and supporting international students since 1999. It is one of the most international universities in Azerbaijan. According to the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2016, Baku Slavic University is ranked in the top ten of the country’s universities by the number of international students. Through the years, more than 25 different countries' citizens, from Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, USA, Venezuela, Pakistan, China, Iran, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Georgia, Italy, Macedonia, Syria, Cameroon were students of Baku Slavic University. Today, 200 of its students are international citizens.
Student life at Baku Slavic University is varied and interesting. International students have a host of activities at their disposal, as social, scientific and sporting events. Our international students tend to be very active, and there are many ways to get involved in creative activities as well as to explore Azerbaijan’s rich culture and beautiful nature.
The education is provided in Azerbaijani or Russian languages. All international students at Baku Slavic University are required to pay tuition fees for their study programs.
The university provides the international students visa support (for 90 days) and assistance in maintaining their legal status.
Baku Slavic University has a student dormitory. Housing price for 2020/2021 academic year is AZN 100/month.
The management of international students’ affairs at Baku Slavic University is on responsibility of the Dean's office for international students.
DEAN'S OFFICE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS (DOIS)
The Dean's office for international students (DOIS) was established in April 2008 to respond to the needs of a growing number of international students. The DOIS offers services to international students and scholars at Baku Slavic University, to minimize the difficulties they may experience both upon arrival and later during their stay at the University.
