THE CZECH LANGUAGE AND CULTURAL CENTER

      The Center of the Czech Language and Culture was officially opened by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Azerbaijan, Radek Matula on October 13, 2010 with the direct support from the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Azerbaijan.
      The main purpose of the Center is the mutual communion of youth to culture, education and science between the two countries, as well as improvement of the Bohemian studies
     The Center also helps to establish contacts and improve cooperation with Czech Higher Educational Institutions.
      The Center has a library comprised of books in the Czech language. Readers are also provided with Czech newspapers and magazines, videos and audio recordings, CD and DVD discs.

        In addition to the Czech language classes various cultural events, celebrations of dates associated with the history and culture, traditions and customs of the Czech Republic, meetings with representatives of political arenas, science and culture, discussions and lectures are held in the Centre.
       The Czech language Conversation Club has also been set up in the Center for the improvement of informal speech among students.
