THE BULGARIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURAL CENTER

     

     The center was established on October 7, 2004 by the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Georgi Parvanov at the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Azerbaijan. The center is supplied with new-type technical equipment. There is a large library of belles-lettres, materials in political history, economy of Bulgaria and the Bulgarian language.
      The main purpose of the center is to develop cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria; to bring culture, education, enlightenment, and science of both countries within the reach of young people, and to improve the educational process of Bulgarian studies.
      Educational and methodical, research, and cultural sections are functioning within the center. Different cultural events related to the history and culture of Bulgaria, meetings with statesmen, scientists, and cultural workers, lectures, and seminars are organized in the center.
      The club of Bulgarian language is functioning in the center.
