AZERBAIJANI STUDY CENTER ESTABLISHED BY BAKU SLAVIC UNIVERSITY AT URAL FEDERAL UNIVERSITY NAMED AFTER B.YELTSIN – THE FIRST PRESIDENT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

                                           

     The Azerbaijani Studies Center which established by Baku Slavic University in Ural Federal University named after B.Yeltsin – first president of Russian Federation opened in 8 February 2014.The vice chancellor of International Relations of university, Institute director prof. M.B.Khomyakov, vice chancellors of Baku Slavic University prof. A.A.Hajiyev and associate prof. O.A.Samadov, councilors of Head Consulate of Azerbaijan in Yekaterinburg city M.I.Amadov and I.F.Iskandarov, Chairman of Ural Department of All Russian Azerbaijani Congress Sh.M.Shikhlinski, Member of Advisory Council for Nations Affairs under governor of Sverdlovsk region and the head of working group N.F.Tumenseva, Deputy Director of International Relations Department of UrFU Social and Political Sciences Institute A.S.Buynasov, prof. A.G.Nesterov–head of European Studies Department, chairmen of national communities regional councils of Ukraine, Tajikistan, Georgia and Bashkiria, representatives of Azerbaijan Diaspora and Sverdlovsk regional community, Azerbaijani students who are studying here, teachers and students of lyceum № 108 named after V.N.Tatishev where Azerbaijani language is studying are participated at opening event.
       The Center is provided with modern technical equipments, computers and projectors, historical and cultural information of Azerbaijan, CDs of documentary films and movies, classical and modern music samples, national domestic and decorative things. Library fund of the Center consists of photoalbums and books about Azerbaijan history and culture, works of famous writers and poets, scientific publications about linguistics and educational literature, dictionaries and guidebooks.
