THE AZERBAIJANI LANGUAGE AND CULTURAL CENTER FUNCTIONING AT SOFIA UNIVERSITY NAMED AFTER SAINT KLIMENT OHRIDSKI

                                                     

 The Azerbaijan Language and Culture Center operating in Sofia University named after Saint Climent Okhridski was opened on September 25, 2013. Rector of Sofia University Prof. Ilchev, the delegation of Baku Slavic University, Head of the Bulgarian Language and Culture Centure S.Shigayeva, guests – member of the Parliament of the Republic of Bulgaria G.Svilenski, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Azerbaijan Republic to Bulgaria E.Karimov, employees of the embassy, ambassadors and embassy representatives of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan and Georgia, representatives of the governmental and non-governmental organizations of the country and the representatives of the Diaspora of Azerbaijan participated in the opening ceremony.
         The Center has been equipped with technical units, computers and projectors, and provided with the discs including details, documented and artistic films on the Azerbaijan history and culture, classic and modern music samples, national domestic and decorative items. The library fund of the Center includes photo albums and books dealing with the Azerbaijan history and culture, works of famous writers and poets, scientific publications and educative literature on linguistics, dictionaries and informative books.
