THE CHAIR OF MODERN RUSSIAN LANGUAGE

     The chair was founded in 2003 on the basis of the Chairs of Phonetics, Lexicology and Grammar of the modern Russian language.
The following subjects are taught at Bachelor and Master degree: «Phonetics and Phonology», «Lexicology and Lexicography», «Stylistics and Rhetoric», «Morphology and Syntax of the Russian language», «Phonetics of modern Russian language», «Lexicology of modern Russian language», «Morphology of modern Russian language», «Syntax of modern Russian language», «Stylistics of modern Russian language», «Linguistic text analysis», «Basis of Russian grammar», «Special courses and special seminars on the history and theory of Russian language», «Special courses on paremiophraseology of modern Russian language».
     Main directions of the scientific work realized by the chair are as follows:
General theoretical matters of syntax;
Matters of modern theoretical derivation;
Matters of lexicographic elaboration and creation of explanatory dictionaries and translation dictionaries on the Russian and Azerbaijani languages;
Matters of linguistic stylistics;
Matters of general paremiology and paremiographics;
Matters of general and academic linguistic methodology.
     The chair staff conduct the linguistic methodology researches along with which there have been published: about 60 scientific methodic instructions, programs, and other text books for students and masters.
     The chair staff actively participate in the work of the scientific- methodical and international scientific forums and conferences.
