Academician Zarifa Aliyeva was commemorated in BSU

 

     On April 26, BSU chair of Primary Education hosted event dedicated to outstanding scientist, academician, prominent ophthalmologist Zarifa Aliyeva’s 94th birth anniversary. Professor-teaching staff of University, students of Pedagogical and Translation faculties, masters participated in the event.

     Associate professor of the chair, head of project “Auditorium+”, Shukufa Agakishiyeva opened the event. Greeting participants she gave the word to editor-in-chief of literature and art editorship of Azerbaijan Radio, Honored art worker Shafag Alikhanli.

     In her speech, Shafag Alikhanli spoke about Zarifa Aliyeva’s scientific, pedagogical, social activities. She told that this woman who gave light to people’s dark world is irreplaceable as wife and mother.

     Then associate professor of the chair Chimnaz Mammadova spoke about Zarifa khanim’s character to the audience on the basis of memories.

     Vusala Aliyeva who personally knew Zarifa khanim and witnessed her kindness made a speech in the event. She spoke about going to Moscow with parents because of serious illness when she was 10, Zarifa khanim’s caring attitude to her during the operation.

     At the end, Shukufa Agakishiyeva expressed her gratitude to the rector of University, professor Nurlana Aliyeva for support in organizing the event, chief of the chair of Primary Education, associate professor Aytakin Akhundova and teacher Zarifa Mammadova who took an active part in the organization of event.

     Students of Pedagogical faculty recited poems dedicated to Zarifa khanim, sang songs in the event.
