The Azerbaijani language and literature is taught at a high level at Belarusian State Pedagogical University (BSPU), at the same time the Belarusian language and literature is taught at a high level at Baku Slavic University (BSU). Belarusian-Azerbaijani and Azerbaijani – Belarusian speaking dictionaries are already ready due to the close cooperation between these institutions of higher education. But this resource is not enough to learn Belarusian. Therefore work has already begun in the direction of preparing academic dictionaries in BSU.
Vice rector for Scientific Affairs of BSU, professor Rafig Novruzov notified that it is important to translate Belarusian literature into our language, Azerbaijani literature into the Belarusian language. He said: “Though some patterns of Belarusian classics are translated into the Azerbaijani language, modern processes in Belarusian literature remain unclear for Azerbaijani readers. As well as, Azerbaijani literature is not adequately promoted in Belarus. That’s why systematic and mutual translation of the works of contemporary writers and poets are needed. For now we are going to do some work in this direction due to our own resources.”
