THE BELARUSIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURAL CENTER

     The Center was opened by the president of the Republic of Belarus Alexandr Lukashenko on June 4, 2010 with the support of the Belorussian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank and the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Azerbaijan.
     The main purpose of the center is to develop cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Belorussia, to bring culture, education and sciences of both countries with the attack the young people. The center is supplied with modern technical equipment. There are textbooks and many other different materials on the culture and history of the Republic of Belorussia. There is a large library of Belorussian famous authors’ belles-lettres and musical compositions of Belorussian composers. Cultural events related to the Belorussian national holidays and anniversaries are held here, famous Belorussian writers and poets are kept in the center. There is a circle called «My heritage» in the center where you can see national costumes and other national accessories which familiarize local people with the life and traditions of Belorussian people. The center closely cooperates with the Embassy of the Republic of Belorussia in Azerbaijan as well as, with the Association of Friendship and Cooperation «Azerbaijan-Belarus» and « The Center of the Azerbaijani language and Culture» of the Belorussian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank, «Congress of Azerbaijan communities» in Belorussia.
