Leading employees of Baku Turkish Anatolian High School were guests at BSU

          

     On March 2, Deputy Director of Baku Turkish Anatolian High School (BTAL) Meral Bahar, Talib Keles, Yakup Özden and music teacher Ebru Kacca visited Baku Slavic University. Rector of BSU, Professor Nurlana Aliyeva spoke about the Azerbaijani-Turkish brotherhood and spoke about the ancient historical roots of relations between the two Turkic states. Nurlana Aliyeva gave detailed information about the cooperation of BSU with leading universities of Turkey and noted that the partnership in the field of education and science contributes greatly to the humanitarian relations of the two brotherly countries. Speaking about the high level of relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey in all spheres, the rector also touched upon the attention of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Azerbaijan Erkan Özoroy to the Baku Slavic University.

     Speaking about the activities of the high school, Meral Bahar, Deputy Director of Baku Turkish Anatolian High School, said that BTAL is the only state high school in Turkey. Meral Bahar highly appreciated the work of the Turkish Studies Center at the BSU. He also noted that the BTAL will host a major event dedicated to the 19 May Atatürk Commemoration, Youth and Sports Day. Speaking about the participation of students in the event, the deputy director said they would be pleased with the participation of BSU students at the event.

     Deputy Undersecretaries Talib Keles and Yakup Ozden voiced positive opinions on Baku Slavic University. Yakup Özden said he had been studying at the BSU as a graduate student. Speaking about the favorable conditions created by the university, Y.Ozden thanked the rector Nurlana Aliyeva for appreciating the reconstruction work.

     During the meeting there were talked about national holidays of the Turkic peoples, interesting information about the Novruz traditions and the history of this holiday.

     The guests then got acquainted with the center of Turkish research and presented the center with symbolic gifts representing different regions of Turkey. Guests will support the center with Turkish national dresses. Finally, Meral Bahar wrote his heartfelt words to the guests' book of the center.
