AMINA YUSIFGIZI

MASTER OF RECITATION

      Amina Yusifgizi was born on April 24, 1936 in Baku. She is known as master of recitation. She was graduated from Pedagogical Institute of the Russian language and literature named after M.F.Akhundov. She was an actress of Azerbaijan State Theater of Young Spectators (1958-1964), Azerbaijan National Drama Theater (1964-74). Roles: Gulu ("Anacan"-"Mummy", Y.Azimzade), Sabira ("Son məktub- "The last letter", R.İsmayılov), Humay ("Komsomol poeması"- "Komsomol poem", I.Joshgun; based on Samad Vurgun’s cognominal poem), Ulkar ("Söz yarası"-"Word injury", Q.Rasulov), Aliman ("Ana tarla"- "Native field", Chingiz Aytmatov), Essie ("The Devil’s Disciple", Bernard Shaw) etc. She has been working in the “Azerbaijanfilm” studio since 1974. She was shot in films, TV performances as "Şərikli çörək"("Shared bread"), "Sən nə üçün susursan?" ("Why are you silent?"), "Bizim küçənin uşaqları"("Children of our street"), "Musiqi müəllimi"("Music teacher") etc. She was awarded Honored Artist of the USSR in 1982, J.Jabbarli award in 2010, Order of “Glory” (Azerbaijan) in 2016.

ELDAR GASIMOV

SINGER

        Eldar Gasimov was born on June 4, 1989 in Baku. He studied at the secondary school №160 in 1995-2006, got piano classes at music school №2 in 2001-2005 and finished school with honors diploma. He won the competition on student exchange program in 2004-2008. He speaks German fluently and lived there for a few months. He studied mastery of acting and stage speech at German Vocal School. He studied International relations and Regional studies at Baku Slavic University and graduated from University with honors diploma. He entered Master’s program on International relations and Regional studies of BSU in 2010. The song performed by Eldar & Nigar couple who represented Azerbaijan in Eurovision Song Contest 2011 was in the first place with 221 points in the final.

NİZAMİ ZOHRABİ

   Nizami Zohrabi was born in Khanbulag village of Yardimli region in 1955. He was graduated from Azerbaijan Pedagogical Institute of the Russian language and literature named after M.F.Akhundov. He was member of Azerbaijan Writers’ Union. His two part poem “Məkkədən doğan Günəş” (“Sun rising from Mecca”) devoted to the Excellence of Prophet Muhammad’s (s.a.w.) life got readers’ great sympathy in our country and beyond its borders and was published several times. Besides, poet’s poem “Fateh” dealing with the conquest of Istanbul was published five times in Azerbaijan in 2004-2007 years, in Turkey in 2006, poem “Ulu Türkün Öndəri (“Leader of Great Turk”) devoted to the irreplaceable Leader of Turkish world Atatürk was published in Ankara in 2010 by Ankara Researches Center. Words of the first and the only march “Dünya durduqca yaşa” (“Live eternally”) devoted to Atatürk in Azerbaijan also belong to Nizami Zohrabi. He was awarded in the poem contest “Nəti Şərif” (“Nati Sharif”) devoted to the Excellence of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) and poem contest devoted to Atatürk. He died in Baku on July 18, 2016.

LYDIA RASULOVA

MINISTER OF EDUCATION

 

      Lydia Rasulova was born in Baku on December 4, 1941. Finishing secondary school, she got higher education at Azerbaijan Pedagogical Institute of the Russian language and literature named after M.F.Akhundov in 1959-1965 years. Starting her labour activity at general school and non-school educational institutions of Baku in 1958, Lydia Rasulova worked in different posts at youth organizations, party and soviet bodies in 1962-1981 years. Lydia Rasulova was chairman of Trade Unions Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 1981-1988 years, minister of social security of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 1988-1992 years, then, worked as deputy chairman of Azerbaijan State Committee on Science and Technology, since 1993 minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.  Because of her health problems Lydia Rasulova was dismissed from the post of minister of Education in 1997, continued her pedagogical activity and took part in the process of training highly qualified cadres in the institutions of higher education. Well-known public figure, individual pensioner of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Lydia Khudat Rasulova died at age 71, on February 5, 2012.

FAKHRADDIN TAHMAZOV

MINISTER OF NATIONAL SECURITY OF THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN

Fakhraddin Ayat Tahmazov was born in the teacher family of Salyan region, Garachala settlement on January 10, 1951. After finishing secondary school in Ali-Bayramli city in 1968, and graduating from Azerbaijan Pedagogical Institute of the Russian language and literature named after M.F.Akhundov he worked as a teacher in the secondary school of Ali-Bayramli city some time. F.Tahmazov who was called for active military service continued his pedagogical activity after completing his military service in 1975. He studied at High School named after F.E.Dzerjinski of USSR CSS in 1975-1977 years, after finishing school he worked at the posts as junior operating officer, operating officer, chief operating officer, deputy chief of the section, section chief in the central apparatus of USSR CSS from August, 1977 to June, 1990. He worked as deputy chief of MNS (CSS till November, 1991) Ganja city and railway station from June, 1990 to December, 1991.  Since January, 1992, he had worked as section chief in Baku office of MNS of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

AKIF ALI

HEAD OF THE PRESS SERVICE OF THE CABINET OF MINISTERS

Akif Ali was born in Shusha in 1952. He was graduated from Azerbaijan Pedagogical Institute of the Russian language and literature named after M.F.Akhundov (1974). He created characters like Rustam in the film "Uzun müharibədə qısa görüşlər" ("Short meetings in the long war"), Tapdig in the film "Tütək səsi" ("Sound of the flute") and others. He worked at Azerbaijan State Committee on Television and Radio Broadcasting in 1978-1987 years. He is the author of numerous scientific and artistic -publicistic articles, cinema-TV-radio scenarios, books "Gözəlliyin qədrini bilək"("Let’s value beauty"), "Azərbaycanın müasir kinoaktyorları"("Modern film actors of Azerbaijan"), "Unudulmaz yollar" ("Unforgettable roads") , "Məhəbbət təranələri" ("Melodies of love") , "Qaragöz oyunu"("Game of Garagoz"), "M.Ə.Sabirin satira sənətkarlığı" ("M.A.Sabir’s art of satire"), "Öncə – vətəndir" (" First of all –motherland"), "Böyük ömrün anları" ("Moments of great life"), "İdrak" ("Cognition"), "Azman", movie plots called "Mozalan" and translation works. He is PhD in Philology (1988), associate professor, laureate of Golden pen award. Since 1994 he has been working as head of the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.

ULFAT IMAN ALIYEV

KHOJALY MARTYR

 

On February 26, one of the sons of our motherland who was martyred heroically was Ulfat Iman Aliyev. Like all Khojaly people, the light of his house and heart was turned off on the day when Khojaly was occupied. Ulfat was born in Asgaran village of Khojaly region in 1972. He finished secondary school of the village in 1989 and entered “Russian language and literature” faculty of Azerbaijan Pedagogical Institute of the Russian language and literature named after M.F.Akhundov, today’s Baku Slavic University. At night from February 26 to 27, 1992, Ulfat Aliyev was martyred while Armenian military forces were occupying Khojaly city with the participation of 366th motorized infantry regiment of former Soviet army situated in Khankendi city.
