The Academic Council of Baku Slavic University at its meeting held on September 7, 2006 by the unanimous decision awarded President of Ukraine Victor Andreyevich Yushenko the title of BSU honorary doctor for the contribution he made to the developing and strengthening of friendly relations and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine in the filds of culture, education and science.
